Today, we are happy to announce that Vince Hall has been named the new Chief Executive Officer of Feeding San Diego (FSD). Feeding San Diego is committed to a culture of responsibility and dignity and to leading our local community in the fight against hunger by efficiently providing access to food and nutritious meals. Feeding San Diego builds partnerships with purpose.

Mr. Hall brings over two decades of public policy experience in local, state, and federal government to his new position, including serving as Staff Director for Governor Gray Davis. More recently, he served as Executive Director for the Future of California Elections, a statewide nonprofit organization working to modernize our election system to expand participation to underrepresented and underserved populations. Mr. Hall served for eight years as Vice President of Public Affairs and Communications for Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest, where he directed governmental relations and served on the State Legislative Committee.

“I am honored to be joining the Feeding San Diego organization and be a part of their mission, making a difference every day in the fight against hunger,” said Mr. Hall. “It will be a great pleasure to work with the FSD board, staff, inspiring volunteers and all of San Diego to work on solving issues of hunger and nutrition in our community.”

“Mr. Hall’s solid leadership skills, thoughtfulness and qualifications make him an ideal CEO to lead this organization,” said Gwendolyn Sontheim, FSD Board Chair. “We are excited to welcome Mr. Hall in his new position.”

Mr. Hall will be responsible for the overall administration of the organization, under the direction of the Board of Directors, beginning April 10, 2017. His first public appearance will be at Feeding San Diego’s Pairings with a Purpose fundraising event on April 15, 2017.
