Youth Meal Partners
Overview
Thank you for your interest in joining Feeding San Diego as a Youth Meal Partner. Feeding San Diego works with hundreds of Youth Meal Partners to end hunger in San Diego County. Food is free to our CACFP & SFSP partners and to the families and children. No form of identification, names, or student information is required.
Please confirm that your organization meets the following eligibility criteria before contacting our team.
Requirements
School Pantry & School Backpack Programs
- Schools must have at least 50% Free & Reduced Price Meal Data
- Agree to consistent and recurring deliveries
- Must have at least one individual involved in the food distribution obtain their Food Handler Certification
- Sign our Partnership Agreement
Child and Adult Food Care Program (CACFP)
- The nearby school must have at least 50% Free & Reduced Price Meal Data
- Partner must have established after-school programming for kids
- Must be able to obtain a fire permit from the local fire department
- Schools & city operated partners are exempt
- Must have adequate staffing to serve meals and follow required USDA guidelines for paperwork and compliance
Summer Food Service Program (SFSP)
- Nearby school must have at least 50% Free & Reduced Price Meal Data
- Partner must have youth consistently at their location
- Programming isn’t required but meals must be eaten on site
- Must have adequate staffing to serve meals and follow required USDA guidelines for paperwork and compliance
