Feeding San Diego hosts hundreds of food distributions across San Diego County
Feeding San Diego hosts hundreds of food distributions across San Diego County. We partner with various organizations to provide reliable and consistent access to nutritious foods. Our goal is to ensure San Diegans can access food resources at convenient locations in their neighborhoods. The best place to find information about the food resources available is Feeding San Diego’s Find Food Map.
“When you put a box of food in somebody’s car, and you look through the windshield and give them a wave, sometimes they’re smiling, and sometimes they’re crying, but for many, it is the one hopeful, optimistic, compassionate thing that will happen to them that entire day. And food is the most visceral human need. Without adequate nutrition, we can’t expect people to address any other challenge.” -Vince Hall, former CEO of Feeding San Diego
Feeding San Diego Distributions
All community members in need are welcome to attend our Together Tour, mobile pantry, and produce pantry distributions.
Drive-Through Food Distributions
Feeding San Diego offers various drive-through distribution locations. Community members can receive food at these sites while staying in their vehicles.
North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre in Chula Vista hosts a drive-through food distribution once a month. Community members can register for the distribution on our Together Tour page.
Walk-Up Food Distributions
Many of Feeding San Diego’s mobile pantries and produce pantries are walk-up distributions. We recommend bringing bags or a cart to carry the food provided.
Feeding San Diego Marketplace
Feeding San Diego has its very own community marketplace at our headquarters in Sorrento Valley. Community members are welcome to come once a month to shop for no-cost groceries, including dry goods, frozen protein, and fresh produce. You can find more information about times and scheduling your visit here.
Partner Distributions
Feeding San Diego partners with hundreds of local nonprofits, churches, and other organizations throughout the county. These partners have their own requirements and distribution methods. Use our find food map to locate partners near you and learn their specific requirements.
