Together We Can Do More

Feeding San Diego works with nearly 370 community partners to distribute healthy food throughout San Diego County. Our agency partners include a range of non-profits and organizations, including local charities, schools, faith communities, meal sites, and food pantries.

We work with agencies in various ways. For some, we provide food directly, while others benefit from direct partnerships with food donors like grocery stores. Our network of partners allows us to distribute tens of millions of meals annually.

Stories from Our Agency Partners

A woman stands next to a cart filled with fresh produce at a food distribution from one of Feeding San Diego's community partners

In the five years I’ve been with Poder Popular, it has been lovely to work with Feeding San Diego to hand out food because we’re not only helping Feeding San Diego, we’re helping ourselves as well. It’s a beautiful thing because Feeding San Diego helps our community and all the families that are having a difficult time. The food we get here is very helpful because they have fruits and vegetables. The supermarkets are going to throw this food in the trash, but it’s not trash. It’s food that we can use. For us, it’s life.

–Jovita, Líder with Poder Popular

This is a community that is low-income. I really like the fact that the food is free and we are able to provide that food because some of them really need it. It’s good for the kids. It’s good for the families. Some of the kids rely on the food they get from school, so having food here during the summer and after-school programs is awesome. Thank you for providing these meals. I know the kids enjoy it. It’s really appreciated and we’re really thankful for it.

Students at Access Youth Academy, a Feeding San Diego partner

The partnership with Feeding San Diego really bolstered our program. Now, not only do we offer students a safe place to come and practice squash and work on their academics, but we’re also able to feed them, and that takes a huge burden off of parents and families in this community. We at Access Youth Academy are very grateful for all of the support from Feeding San Diego and everyone who helps make that organization run. We would not be able to provide such amazing, delicious food to our kids every day without your support.
