FSD Begins Four New School Pantry Sites

Feeding San Diego is excited to kick off the new school year by welcoming four new sites to our School Pantry program.

After much collaboration, planning and training, the four new sites at Fallbrook and Laurel Elementary in Oceanside and Sunset and Willow Elementary in San Ysidro are ready to welcome parents and students to their farmer’s market style distributions.

Serving more than 1,000 households combined, the pantries will provide approximately 22 pounds of dry staple goods and fresh produce to families twice a month throughout the school year. They will also have regular nutrition demonstrations on-site and access to CalFresh assistance. We welcome these schools and thank them for their commitment to their families and communities.
