Director of Supply Chain 

Jessica Schultz returned to Feeding San Diego in 2025 as director of supply chain after earning her Master of Professional Studies in Supply Chain Management from Penn State University. She leads a team of eight managing relationships with more than 780 food donors and sourcing more than 44 million pounds of food annually from farms, grocery stores, manufacturers, and restaurants to support Feeding San Diego’s programs. 

Jessica developed Feeding San Diego’s annual product sourcing plan as part of its Feeding America partner food bank agreement and helped launch the Seed to Feed program in 2026, expanding access to locally sourced fresh produce following the end of federal funding for the USDA’s Local Food Purchase Assistance Program. 

Originally joining Feeding San Diego in 2017, Jessica advanced through several roles in food sourcing, food safety, warehouse operations, and inventory management, including serving in a critical operations support role during the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Before joining Feeding San Diego, Jessica worked as a food safety field specialist with the University of New Hampshire Cooperative Extension, providing training and regulatory guidance to food service professionals, agricultural producers, and government partners. 

Jessica holds master’s degrees in nutrition science and policy from Tufts University and supply chain management from Penn State University. She earned her bachelor’s degree in biology, with a minor in chemistry, from Saint Michael’s College, graduating magna cum laude. 

A New Hampshire native, Jessica’s husband’s military career has moved her family to several U.S. cities, including San Diego, twice. She enjoys exploring the outdoors with her husband and two sons and spending time at her family’s lakefront cabin in the Adirondacks.
