Veterans Day Match Helps Feed Military Families and Veterans in Need
As Veterans Day approaches, we have come together to celebrate the service of our U.S. military veterans. San Diego County is home to one of the largest concentrations of veterans and military personnel in the world. With the high cost of living in San Diego, many active-duty military families face food insecurity while stationed here or after they are discharged. Feeding San Diego proudly supports our local heroes all year through its Feeding Heroes program. On Veterans Day this year, Veterans United Home Loans will generously match every dollar donated to Feeding San Diego up to $20,000 to continue this critical work to serve those who serve or have served our country.

Our corporate partner, Veterans United Home Loans, is based in Columbia, Missouri, and is on a mission to help veterans and service members take advantage of the home loan benefits earned by their service. The company is fully committed to supporting veterans and service members however possible. By donating to Feeding San Diego, they are helping provide nutritious meals to veterans, service members, and their families in an area with a high cost of living during a time of high inflation.
Currently, Veterans United is traveling from coast to coast on their #ThanksToVeterans tour. They are celebrating veteran camaraderie, community service, and the countless ways veterans continue to serve and strengthen our neighborhoods. The final stop on their tour is at The Veterans Museum at Balboa Park on November 11, 2022.

Veterans United’s partnership with Feeding San Diego is really exciting, and we’re looking forward to making a lasting impact on their ability to serve the community.”
