Albert Nguyen: New Member of the Volunteer Department
Albert Nguyen has been a long-standing community organizer where he seeks to promote empowerment, awareness, and equity through community involvement and service. Albert received his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Public Policy at University of California, San Diego, where he was a student organizer within the UC San Diego community. While there, he led the charge to increase voter registration rates and encouraged students to be engaged in the political process through volunteerism and service.
As an AmeriCorps member, Albert found a passion for civic duty and service; which led him to serve as an intern with both U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein and Senator Barbara Boxer and as a field organizer during the 2016 presidential election. With a passion for volunteerism, he now serves as Feeding San Diego’s Volunteer Coordinator where he will help lead our local community in the fight against hunger.
