Ways to Get Involved During Spread Love San Diego

Send an e-card with Love

We’ve tapped four talented San Diegans to design e-cards for you to send virtually with love. By making a gift, you will spread love to someone special, help rescue food, and help provide meals for people facing hunger. Every $1 helps provide two meals.

Volunteer

Volunteers are a critical part of our mission at Feeding San Diego. We have many volunteer opportunities at our Sorrento Valley headquarters and other locations in the community.

Regents Pizzeria

From February 14 to March 14, Regents Pizzeria will donate $10 from every 18-inch pepperoni pizza to Feeding San Diego in support of our efforts to help the LA Fire victims through the LA Food Bank.

Why Donate to Feeding San Diego

When you give to Feeding San Diego, every dollar helps provide 2 meals to San Diegans facing hunger.

To come here helps a lot. It shows that people care and that there are people that understand that it’s not always so easy for active-duty military.

“Serving in the military, you get to meet people that you wouldn’t normally meet, like outside the Marine Corps. You meet people from all over. Different experiences, different lifestyles. But even receiving Basic Allowance for Housing (BAH) and everything like that, the cost out here, in my eyes, is really expensive. A gallon of milk is way more than I’ve seen anywhere else. With working here on base, for my job, I’m required to bring my food to work. You have to prepare all that beforehand. Even buying groceries to do that, it’s a lot of money. I just had a baby, and it’s been ok. It would be a lot worse if I didn’t have a lot of people at work that cared about me. It helps out. I don’t have any family here, but my workspace is really family-oriented. A lot of them have kids, so they know how hard it is. To come here helps a lot. It shows that people care and that there are people that understand that it’s not always so easy for active-duty military. When you calculate it all, and you see how much you’re actually getting paid, it’s not that much. What I got today helps out tremendously. Thank you, it’s great that there are people out there that donate.”
