Feed People, Not Landfills
Did you know that nearly 300,000 people face hunger across San Diego County, while 38% of all food produced is wasted in the US?
Double Your Impact
Thanks to a $100,000 challenge match from Price Philanthropies, every dollar you give during April will help provide twice as much fresh, nutritious produce to families in need right here in San Diego County.
Ways to Get Involved
When we toss still-edible food into the trash, it ends up in landfills. Once there, it creates methane. According to the US Environmental Protection Agency, 34 percent of all methane emissions in the US come from landfills. At Feeding San Diego, we want to Feed People, Not Landfills.
Our goal is to end hunger through food rescue, protecting people and the planet. And we couldn’t do it without you. Your support helps recover high-quality food from food donors and get it to people facing hunger. Learn more about how we work, or scroll down to find out more about how you can help!
Wear a t-shirt with impact!
Make a donation of $25 or more, and you will help provide at least 50 meals to San Diegans experiencing hunger.
Plus, you will receive this Feeding San Diego t-shirt as a gift. Simply stop by the Feeding San Diego reception desk and show your donation confirmation to receive your t-shirt.
Once you pick-up your t-shirt from Feeding San Diego’s office, wear it proudly and tag our social media accounts @feedingsandiego for a special shout-out to thank you for your impact!
