Growing Kindness in Sunshine with Flower Hill and Feeding San Diego

For a number of months now, Flower Hill Promenade in Del Mar has planted a project aimed at bringing joy, kindness and love to the San Diego community. The “Growing Kindness in Sunshine” campaign features creative crafts, charity events, and kid-friendly activities for San Diegans to enjoy throughout the entire promenade.

As a highlighted feature, they also planted a Feeding San Diego Garden as a tangible way to help support our efforts in the fight against hunger.

In this garden, mall visitors can find tomatoes, eggplants, and other vegetables and herbs. All will be harvested to serve those facing hunger around San Diego. Beyond the healthy harvest, Flower Hill Promenade is raising funds to support Feeding San Diego. Their goal is to provide 10,000 meals to San Diego children, veterans, seniors, and families in need.

On August 11th, Flower Hill is hosting a harvest and day of family-fun activities from 10 AM- 4 PM. Throughout the lovely shopping center’s paths will be a petting farm, balloon creations, face paintings and live music. All activities are free with a donation to Feeding San Diego. We look forward to seeing you at the Promenade for a day of fun and feeding San Diego!
