Feeding San Diego Receives Donation From Protein Bar Company GoMacro® for Seventh Year in a Row

The donation comes from sales of the Everlasting Joy MacroBar®, which benefits Feeding San Diego year-round

Feeding San Diego, the county’s leading hunger-relief and food rescue organization, is pleased to announce it has received its annual donation from corporate partner GoMacro®, a leading plant-based nutrition bar company with offices in San Diego. The donation stems from 2022 sales of a Give Back Bar®, the Everlasting Joy MacroBar®. Year-round, a percentage of annual net proceeds from the sales of this MacroBar® go to Feeding San Diego to support its hunger-relief programs. The partnership between GoMacro® and Feeding San Diego has been in place since 2016, and this year’s donation is significantly higher than the previous year’s thanks to a higher sales volume of the MacroBar®.   

“We are incredibly thankful to have a corporate partner like GoMacro® who sees the value in aligning with our organization on a year-round benefit campaign that makes it easy for the public to support our mission of ending hunger through food rescue,” said Frances Burnett, senior manager of corporate partnerships at Feeding San Diego. “It’s amazing that a portion of all sales from a single product in a single year has the ability to provide over 100,000 meals, which is vital support for a non-profit like ours.”  

Although GoMacro® is based in Wisconsin, the company’s marketing team, CEO, and several other key executives are based out of the company’s satellite office in San Diego. The company is proud to play an ongoing part in supporting food rescue and hunger relief in the community several of their team members call home. The funds donated will be used to support Feeding San Diego’s core programs that support community members facing hunger.
