Empty Bowls 2016

Since 2007, Coronado High School has raised over $151,000 to support local hunger-relief efforts through their Empty Bowls event. Ceramics students at Coronado High School work diligently to create ceramic bowls, which are purchased by guests and filled with soup during the event’s dinner.

This year’s event taking on place on April 14 seeks to raise awareness about food insecurity and bring together a local network of donors, parents and community members to raise money in support of hunger-relief efforts in San Diego. For $20, attendees will receive a handmade bowl filled with soup from participating Coronado restaurants with funds supporting Feeding San Diego and other local hunger-relief organizations.
