Hunger Relief for Hurricane Harvey

Many parts of Texas were left devastated in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey.  Feeding San Diego believes in the power of community and in the importance of acting as a good neighbor – even when our neighbors live more than a thousand miles away.  Tens of thousands of people were forced from their homes after the hurricane struck and now face the long process of rebuilding their lives.

Many of these individuals find themselves in a position they never imagined – relying on the generosity of others simply to have enough to eat. As a result, Feeding San Diego quickly put together an online campaign and called upon the San Diego community to help provide hunger-relief for those affected in Texas.

To date, the campaign has raised more than $9,000.  This donation will be going towards Feeding America and helping those affected by the destructive hurricane.  The money will be used to provide food for those who have lost everything and need a helping hand.  Texas will take a long time to rebuild, but with the generosity like from those who donated, we can help lessen their burden.

Disaster can strike at any moment. Feeding San Diego is extremely thankful for all of the support and wish Texas the best in rebuilding in the months to come.
