Feeding San Diego is honored to have the United Nations endorse our Hunger Action Month campaign as we work to end hunger across San Diego through food rescue.

“The UN is marking its 75th anniversary this year at a time of great challenge and at a time of great disruption for the world, compounded by an unprecedented global health crisis with severe economic and social impacts. Solidarity and collective action is needed more than ever. We all have a part to play. Your voice, your ideas and your actions matter.” – Lisa Laskaridis, Head of Communication UN75, United Nations Public Information Officer.

The United Nations Association of San Diego endorsed Feeding San Diego’s Hunger Action campaign in recognition of our alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, specifically No Hunger (SDG#2), Climate Action (SDG#13), Responsible Consumption and Production (SDG#12), and Partnerships (SDG#17). “We commend Feeding San Diego for their efforts to mobilize the community to end hunger during Hunger Action Month and beyond,” said Bettina Hausmann, President & Chair, Board of Directors, United Nations Association of San Diego. Adding that our approaches are exemplary in localizing the International Community’s (U.N.) universal promise to “leave no one behind”, Mrs. Hausmann applauded Feeding San Diego’s contribution in achieving a peaceful and prosperous world by 2030.
