Stories from Feeding San Diego Marketplace

“I really, really believe that food is life. Being able to walk in the market and know that I have access to everything in there without worrying about what’s in my wallet is the best feeling ever. It makes people feel normal when they’re totally out of their norm, when we’re at our lowest points already. What keeps me going is the constant reminder that I have this tiny human. Seeing her happy is what’s going to make me happy at the end of the day.”

–Jessica

“I decided to take a step back from Corporate America to be able to focus on my health. Health is very important to me because I’m not that old, and I want to see my grandkids grow. If you don’t have your health, you have nothing. Due to my disabilities, it has been difficult on us financially. I need to reach out to multiple places to see where I can get the help that I can. When I come to Feeding San Diego, I go to the Marketplace. I felt this relief coming out of me. This is what my family needs.”

–Adriana
