How It Works
Step 1: Commit to helping end hunger.
Decide what you’re going to do to fundraise. Pick a campaign name. Choose a photo. Set a goal.
And just like that, you’ll be ready to start raising money in minutes.
Step 2: Tell everyone you know.
To get things going, be the first to make a donation. Then, invite all of your family, friends, neighbors, and colleagues to contribute. The more people you tell, the faster you’ll reach your goal.
We have a variety of resources to help your fundraiser succeed!
Step 3. Help change lives.
When you fundraise, you are making a difference. Because of you, people in San Diego County won’t have to go to bed hungry, and good food won’t end up in landfills. That’s amazing! Be sure to thank your donors for joining the movement too!
Fundraising Opportunities Are Endless!
Here are some ideas for inspiration:
Celebrate! Instead of gifts, ask for a donation. Fundraise for your birthday, wedding, anniversary, or baby shower.
Honor – Instead of flowers, honor a loved one by asking for donations. Their donation will help change lives.
Chalk Your Block – Ask for donations and what the donor would like you to chalk. For every donation made, you will chalk your block!
Host an Event – Invite family, friends, and people in your community to help raise money for a good cause.
Run a Marathon – Sign up to run a marathon and collect donations to help end hunger.
Get Creative – Pledge to do something crazy. Grow a mustache. Polar plunge. Shave your head. The possibilities are endless! Have fun knowing you are making a difference in the lives of those facing hunger.

Feeding San Diego Fundraising Success Stories
Perfect Snacks firmly believes in the power of whole-food nutrition and community. Hosting an annual Feeding San Diego Fundraiser has allowed us to connect with our community, empower our employees and support FSD to deliver necessary nutrition to the San Diego community. By participating in their fundraising campaigns and food drives, we know we are positively aiding the fight against food insecurity.
My company has been supporting Feeding San Diego for many years through volunteering at their facility and by food and money donations. They are such a wonderful organization dedicated to making San Diego hunger-free. This is the 3rd time we have held an online donation drive, and 2020 was by far the most successful. We had 37 individuals donate over $3,600. Our company donated an additional $3,000, putting us at a total of over $6,000 in monetary donations! With all of our employees working from home, there wasn’t a way to host an onsite food drive, so we are happy to have had such a success in the online donation drive.
Pure joy. I was overwhelmed by the outpouring of support from our donors. They especially appreciated that the donations stayed in our local area. Feeding San Diego was great to work with, professional, responsive and our donations met the immediate needs of our neighbors.
