Feeding San Diego operates a welcoming community marketplace at our headquarters where San Diego County residents can shop for nutritious, no-cost groceries once per month. Our marketplace offers a variety of food including fresh produce, frozen protein, dairy products, and pantry staples.

Hours & Availability

Walk-Up & Reservations Welcome:

  • Tuesdays: 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. and 5 – 7 p.m.
  • Wednesdays: 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. and 5 – 7 p.m.
  • Thursdays: 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
  • Fridays: 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Reservation Only:

  • 1st, 3rd, and 5th Saturday of the month: 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. (reservation required)

How to Visit

Reservations are strongly encouraged for all weekday visits to ensure availability and minimize wait times. Saturday visits require a reservation—walk-ups cannot be accommodated.

Reservation Details:

  • Appointments open 4 weeks in advance and are released daily
  • Neighbors may reserve one appointment every 4 weeks (aligned with our once-per-month shopping policy)

No! Anyone who needs food can visit the Feeding San Diego Marketplace.

The Marketplace does not require any personal information to be given in order to receive food. There is always an option to register anonymously. Registration is done in person at the Marketplace, not online.

We collect basic demographic details so Feeding San Diego can better understand the communities we serve. We ask for:

  • Name
  • Date of Birth or Age
  • Address
  • Phone Number
  • Number of individuals in household and their ages
  • Military Service Y/N
  • Food Stamp Recipient Y/N
Feeding San Diego’s Marketplace offers a wide variety of food, including fresh produce, frozen protein, dairy, non-perishables, and shelf-stable essentials—similar to what you’d find in a traditional grocery store. We’re also proud to partner with local grocery stores to provide ready-to-eat and prepared meals.

Yes. Please bring the G.R.A.I.N. pass of the individual you would like to shop for. If you plan on registering them, please have the information requested above for said individual.

Social workers may also utilize this policy to shop on behalf of clients.
