Celebrity Ambassadors
We are incredibly grateful for our Feeding San Diego celebrity ambassadors. This group helps us raise awareness of the profound issue of hunger in our region. They also mobilize the public to join us in creating a hunger-free and healthy San Diego.
Hundreds of thousands of people in San Diego County are food insecure. With the help of local celebrities, media personalities, and a variety of other influencers, we can make a difference in the lives of our neighbors in need.
Meet Our Celebrity Ambassadors
The more I learn about Feeding San Diego, the more I learn about the needs that are in our community as well as across the country. A lot of people that I hadn’t thought about, like students in college that are just barely making ends meet, a lot of kids who are getting their primary meals throughout the day from school. Food is important for everybody, but especially children. They’re literally developing into a fully-formed human adult, and without proper nutrition, they’re not going to reach their potential physically, mentally; they’re not going to be able to focus in school.
It’s important for everybody to come together. People that are fortunate enough to have food security [should] appreciate the need in their fellow human and community member. Whatever the situation, people need to eat. They need that support from their community.

Feeding San Diego is doing incredible work getting this food, which would normally be going into the trash can, to people in need. Everybody doing their little part. One little person takes a step, then another person, then more and more… Then it grows into a movement.

Supporting a cause like Feeding San Diego fills my heart. It has been a priority for me to really integrate myself in the community; to know that I am giving back and making a difference in someone’s life is really empowering.
I feel humbled by those who contribute and support through donations or volunteering. I know that it isn’t one voice; it is a compounded effect of many voices, people, and actions. Together we can all accomplish something so magnificent of feeding our local community. If you want to engage and don’t know where to, just jump in. Pick up the phone, go to feedingsandiego.org and learn how you can help.
