Volunteer of the Month
Ansley Apple has volunteered more than 112 hours with Feeding San Diego since August 2016. As an Office Volunteer, she provides essential administrative support to a small volunteer department staff that engages a high volume of volunteers each week. She helps with data entry, filing support, and a variety of essential infrastructure projects around the office.
We estimate that she has updated profiles and hours for more than 5,600 volunteers over this past year. That’s incredible! Without volunteers like Ansley, we could not meet all of the needs of our growing volunteer program.
Ansley is not only detail oriented, but also a joy to be around. Her positive attitude, great sense of humor, and friendliness make the important work we do each day not only meaningful, but fun. She has also helped distribute food to children and their families at the BBQ Day Kickoff Event, bringing her impact to our mission out of the office and into the community. We are so grateful for volunteers like Ansley that help Feeding San Diego improve the lives of so many kids and families throughout San Diego.
