Feeding San Diego invites San Diego County caterers to submit proposals for meals to be served at our sponsored Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) and Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) meal sites.

All interested commercial food service vendors are required to submit complete proposals – inclusive of bid bond – by February 12, 2020 by 12:00 pm PST, to:

Feeding San Diego
9455 Waples St. #135
San Diego, CA 92121

Feeding San Diego serves breakfast, lunch and snack at 16 CACFP sites and 26 SFSP sites throughout San Diego County.  Meals must be unitized and all lunches and suppers must include unitized milk.  Prices must include food, milk, packaging, equipment, utensils, condiments, transportation, refrigeration and all other related costs.  For more information and required proposal components, contact Nico Sidorakis, nsidorakis@feedingsandiego.org, (858) 452-3663 ext. 122.

All meals of each type must meet the minimum standards set by the USDA for CACFP and SFSP meals of that type.  The contract will be awarded to the bidder whose bid is responsive to this invitation and is most advantageous to the agency, price, and other factors considered.

CACFP and SFSP

The Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) and the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) are federal, child-focused nutrition programs that contribute to the wellness, healthy growth and development of children and youth by providing free healthy meals and snacks. Feeding San Diego sponsors CACFP at after school sites throughout the year and SFSP during the summer to meet increased need when children are not receiving school meals.
