Inside Look Series

Our most recent Inside Look Panel, in alignment with our Fuel for Summer campaign, focused on our Feeding Kids initiative. Participants learned more about the programs dedicated to providing nutrition for our county’s children, giving them the support they need to thrive. Watch the recording and hear from School Pantry representatives from Hamilton Elementary and Hoover High Schools, as well as a few individuals from our staff and volunteer teams that work directly with these programs.

I was helping, too. I was a volunteer. It’s good for parents who don’t have any money to buy food for their kids. It’s important. I have two kids. We get fruit, rice, spaghetti, twice a month. I come when I can make it. Sometimes my neighbor comes and I come with her and she gives me a ride. The box is heavy, and I don’t have a car. The food helps a lot. Thank you so much for helping parents. Sometimes, it’s hard. Sometimes they don’t have any money to put food on the table.”

A Feeding San Diego School Pantry In Action

As Feeding San Diego staff and board members, we are incredibly appreciative of all you do to support this mission. We are honored to have spoken with students and facility at Hoover High School who have been recipients of your generosity. Watch your impact in action.

Your Impact

We would also be remiss in not sharing an overview of other programs you helped support this last year. There are thousands of people in San Diego who can go to bed at night after a healthy meal with the anticipation of an exciting breakfast for the next morning. All because of you!

As members of The Grove, you are a huge piece of the puzzle that is solving hunger in San Diego. We hope to see you all at an upcoming event.
