Feeding San Diego To Feed Children Facing Hunger This Summer At 26 Sites Across San Diego County

This summer, Feeding San Diego will host 26 distribution sites for the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP), a critical part of its summer hunger-relief programs. This program provides critical support throughout the summer months to ensure children are getting the nutrition they need to grow and thrive.

In San Diego County, one in six children face hunger — over 120,000 children. Many lose access to nutritious school meals over the summer months when school is out. Feeding San Diego is working to fill that gap by offering these free summer meals and snacks to any children between one and 18 who participate. There are no forms to fill out in order to receive food.

In addition to regular food distributions, the following is a list of Feeding San Diego’s 2019 Summer Food Distribution Sites:

ADDITIONAL SUMMER PROGRAMS:

  • Hosted by Feeding San Diego in partnership with San Diego Unified School District (SDUSD), Summer Fun Café sites offer food and resources to children and families at outdoor events throughout the summer. • Special Regional School Break Distributions will serve each of the four regions of San Diego County once a month, June through August, at the following locations:
    • North: Orange Glen High School, June 20, July 17 and August 7, 11:30 AM – 12:15 PM
