Feeding San Diego to Distribute Food to Military Families and Veterans This Morning Leading Into Veteran’s Day
With the help of two local partners, San Diego Military Outreach Ministries and Support the Enlisted Project, the non-profit will serve over 500 households
This morning, Feeding San Diego is hosting a large-scale, drive through food distribution in Spring Valley to honor military families and veterans. Anyone in need of food assistance is invited to attend and can register here.
Through its Feeding Heroes initiative, Feeding San Diego serves active-duty military families and veterans year round, providing nutritious food when it’s needed. To ensure that military families and veterans get the food assistance they need, Feeding San Diego works with 17 community partners, including San Diego Military Outreach Ministries (SDMOM) and Support the Enlisted Project (STEP), to deliver fresh produce, dry goods, and frozen meat protein that they can distribute. Feeding San Diego continues to see an increase in attendees at all of its large-scale food distributions held across the county.
