Feeding San Diego Supports Youth Facing Hunger This School Year at Federally Funded Sites Across San Diego County
Child and Adult Food Care Program plays an important role in the non-profit’s hunger relief programming for kids
SAN DIEGO (September 24,2021) — This school year, Feeding San Diego—the county’s leading hunger-relief and food rescue organization—is supporting youth in need through the Child and Adult Food Care Program (CACFP), a critical part of its hunger-relief services across San Diego County. The CACFP program helps meet children’s needs after school by providing free and nutritious snacks at accessible sites throughout San Diego County. This is a federal program that provides reimbursements for these nutritious meals and snacks.
At the youth meal sites hosted by Feeding San Diego, children aged 1-18 can receive a free snack and or supper Monday through Friday. Feeding San Diego and its CACFP sites work in tandem to provide nutritious meals and after school enrichment activities. In addition to its regular and emergency food distributions, the following is a list of Feeding San Diego’s 2021 CACFP sites:

ADDITIONAL HUNGER-RELIEF PROGRAMS SUPPORTING YOUTH:
Feeding San Diego also provides nutritious food to youth and their families through 16 school pantry sites, serving 2,995 unduplicated families per month across eight school districts. Further, the organization continues to provide food for hundreds of community distributions throughout the county held by its 292 community partners.

Meals will be provided to all children without charge and are the same for all children regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service. Meals will be provided, at a first come, first serve basis, at the sites and times listed above. To file a program complaint of discrimination, complete the USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form (AD3027), found online and at any USDA office, or write a letter addressed to USDA and provide in the letter all of the information requested in the form.
