Chalking the Block

Two young San Diegans, sisters Charley (age ten) and London (age seven) started a fundraiser for Feeding San Diego six days ago and already raised over $800! In the spirit of giving, they’re “chalking the block” to raise money for people facing hunger across San Diego County.

When people make a donation, they can request a specific drawing, and Charley and London will take to the sidewalks to draw it for them! If you would like to make a donation to their fundraiser, go here. With the help of their mom, the donor will then get an email or text with a photo of the chalk art.

If you or your children would like to follow in their footsteps, you can start a “Chalk the Block” campaign to end hunger by downloading the flyer here and get in on the action. You can also help spread the word by visiting Feeding San Diego’s social media toolkit. Download the social media assets and a flyer and then share it with your friends and family.

Thank you, Charley and London, for being the first to kick-start the Chalk the Block campaign and spreading a little holiday cheer with your beautiful drawings!
