Food and fund drives are a great way to fight hunger and raise awareness. Contact us today to let us know you want to host one for your organization, office, event or family.

Fund Drive

Instead of a food drive, try a fund drive with family and friends! It’s an easy way to make a difference without having to pick up and transport loads of cans.

Where Does My Money Go?

Through our highly organized distribution model, $1 buys 4.8 pounds of food which equals 4 meals for those facing hunger. Money is allocated to our many programs including School Pantry, BackPack, and Mobile Pantry. Every dollar makes a great difference in the lives of those facing hunger.

You can start a fund drive as an individual or as a team.  We have made it easy for you.  Start today!

For additional information on fund drives contact Charina Layman, clayman@feedingsandiego.org or 858.452.3663 x 155.

Food Drive

Gather your family and friends and start a food drive to help fight hunger. Feeding San Diego accepts non-perishable food in its original, unopened packaging at our distribution center, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM- 4:30 PM. A tax receipt will be provided at the time of drop-off.

Health and Nutrition

With diabetes, obesity, and other preventable chronic illnesses on the rise, FSD is dedicated to distributing fresh, healthy food and incorporating nutrition education in all of our initiatives and programs.

Food donations allow FSD to access a broader variety of food, such as canned meats, soups, fruits, and vegetables. These items are often difficult to obtain in bulk. FSD encourages food donations to be wholesome, minimizing empty calories and harmful ingredients.

Most Needed Items

  • Peanut butter
  • Canned tuna
  • Canned chicken white meat
  • Canned fruits in natural juices
  • Canned soup (chicken, tomato or vegetable)

No glass, please.
