Since 2007, Coronado High School has raised funds to support local hunger-relief efforts through their Empty Bowls event. Ceramics students at Coronado High School work diligently to create ceramic bowls, which are purchased by guests and filled with soup during the event’s dinner.

This year’s event taking place on April 27 seeks to raise awareness about food insecurity and bring the community together to support hunger-relief efforts in San Diego.

For $20, attendees will recieve a handmade bowl filled with soup from local restaurants. The funds will support Feeding San Diego and other local hunger-relief organizations.
