Stories from Our Youth Meals Partners

Our students are healthier and more attentive. After a long day in school, having a meal to look forward to once they arrive at our facility sets them up for success. It allows students who may otherwise have few options at home get a nutritious meal. This then allows our students to remain focused throughout their time with us. I am tremendously happy to be working in partnership with Feeding San Diego and their staff. They make sure our process for receiving food every very is as effortless as possible.

Participating in this program helps us keep our programs cost-free for our students and provide healthy meals during our after school and summer programs. In addition, Ocean Discovery was able to distribute thousands of meals each day during the height of the pandemic. Being able to support our community and family in this way was so impactful and we are truly grateful to have been able to provide meal service during that time. Working with Feeding San Diego is a wonderful partnership for our organization and allows us to distribute meals in programs to our community.
