Volunteer of the Month

katherine-jefferson_volunteer-team-leaderKatherine Jefferson has volunteered more than 120 hours with Feeding San Diego since January 2015. She first attended a food sorting shift and quickly showed interest in taking on a leadership role. Within a year, Katherine became a Team Leader and is currently training to be forklift certified within our organization, which will allow her to help during an emergency or disaster situation in San Diego County. Her dedication to hunger-relief is illustrated in her willingness to go above and beyond in both her leadership role as well as her desire to build upon her own knowledge. She is known for her flexibility, positive attitude and ability to seek creative solutions. Thank you, Katherine for helping us create a hunger-free and healthy San Diego.
